When this customer called about a gas leak the other day, I immediately talked her through shutting the gas off over the phone.   On arriving at the property I saw the hot water unit was connected illegally with a gas hose. I couldn’t believe this had been done as the house appears to have been built only about 5 years ago.   To fix the leak and get the install to meet Standard I used brass fittings, copper pipe and my >B< Press tool. The customer was very happy she could now use her hot water safely and not be subject to dodgy plumbing work.
